Hi Jenny! :) Katie just turned me on to Sarah McMillan and Waterdeep. I also just discovered Kate Hurley. I also like Lakes and some of the new "seasons" stuff Jonathan Foreman is putting out. Like some of Patty Griffin and Tristan Prettyman and Sara Groves, too. Some of the music from the "Once" soundtrack is really beautiful, too. I'd love to hear about new tunes you discover, too. Hope things are going well in CO. :)

This is perfect timing. I usually know nothing about music but I just got the best new CD on Sunday. Our worship leader at Reality just released his second CD with his band. It is a mix of Raggae, hip-hop, rock, etc. Really good; really uplifting and fun. His music is so "not cheesy" which i love but it also isn't your standard Christian music, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, his name is Dominic Balli and you can listen to his music at www.myspace.com/dominicballi or at www.dominicballi.com (but I think the myspace page is easier to navigate). Enjoy!

Yo Schlenky-schlenkerton: i'd advise checking out MuteMath (formerly Earthsuit) . May be too much for ya'lls aggie palette, but they rock!! the song "typical" has been the office theme song lately....

Did you ever get our invite to the g10 bash?

Hey Jen,
I just got an ipod so I've been on the hunt too. We had this amazing benefit concert here last month and I loved the artists. John Mark McMillian and Aaron Strumple are amazing and totally different. I def second Linda's suggestions. We miss you!

Take a listen to my Southern California friend Molly Jenson-- I just love her sweet sound. She's a Christian (used to sing in the worship band Everybody Duck) but her songs are not "christianese" but rather just heartfelt with a fun twist. go to www.mollyjenson.com
Good blog post because now I want to check out some of the peeps listed above!

radiohead's "in rainbows"

and I might be excommunicated from the blog world for mentioning this, but the David Cook version of Billie Jean is pretty frickin' awesome.

btw: I was interviewing this 70+ guy to do some renderings for us and he had a bunch of renderings from Durango in his portfolio. I was thinking of you and wondering if you ever saw the buildings this guy did.
