Fall is Here!

The fall has officially arrived at 8,520 feet. It is absolutely beautiful with all the changing of the leaves! Life slows down considerably during the Fall (off) season here in the mountains. It is intresting coming from California where we experience a little bit of the change of seasons-but not to the degree in leaving in all four seasons. I love the fall! It is a time to slow down after a busy active, full and fun summer. Some things I love about Colorado Fall:

1. You become much more reflective living in seasons
2. Drinking Chai
3. Fun game nights with friends
4. Time to read and get caught up on journaling
5. Seeing locals out and about
6. Warm days with a cool breezes
7. The changing of the leaves
8. Excitemnet for the first snow- (I can wait for the long winter!)
9. My family is coming in November for Thanskgiving!

Is there anything that excites you about this Fall?

Imogene Pass Run

It is offically the end of the summer here at 8,500 feet! This past weekend- my friends Angie, Ann and I ran Imogene Pass There was over 5,000 feet of veritcal elevation gain, a total run of 17.6 miles. From miles 7-10, there is a 1,000 feet every mile. The summit elevation is 13,200 feet- offering pain killers and chicken both at the top. A great run and pretty tough. It was a stunning day! It started in Ouray, Co and ended up in the town of Telluride. There was not a cloud in the sky and it was absolutely beautiful. It was wonderful to be able to do it with great girl friends and stay in Angie's family's cabin in Telluride. We all had a great time- I would do it again in a heart beat and would know how to train a little differently this time. Thank you Jesus for lungs and legs!

The colors are already starting to slightly change here!
